SANCTUARY FURNISHINGS FOR FRANCISCAN FRIARS

LOCATION: Dutton Park, QLD
CLIENT: Capuchin Franciscans

This project has been undertaken in collaboration with William McMahon Cabinetmaker. It involved the design and construction of various furnishings necessary for the private chapel of the Franciscan Friars in Brisbane. Furnishings include an altar, ambo, kneelers, credence table and Paschal candle stand. The design of these items follows a robust geometry expressed in spotted gum hardwood. Features of the design include expressed construction joints and burnished brass elements.
